In late-August, Polymarket disclosed that it has sought a $21 billion valuation in a new funding round led by Donald Trump Jr’s venture firm, 1789 Capital.
Polymarket may defend any substantial investment in marketing given the overwhelming impact on customer acquisition that ensued. On Tuesday, Polymarket ranked first on the App Store in downloads for free finance apps, topping archrival Kalshi, Capital One Mobile and prominent payment providers PayPal and Venmo.
The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment from iGB.

The AFC West showdown bolstered the already robust totals. Overall, volume for the week hit a record $15.9 billion, according to Bank of America, up 16% from a week earlier.

One concern is the measure might force clubs to host matches outside the city to maintain their advertising agreements.
Stakeholders have yet to determine their response to the bills, with educational campaigns and collective actions on the agenda. Coordination with political leaders in the city of São Paulo is also under way.
Reinaldo Carneiro Bastos, president of the São Paulo Football Federation, expressed concern about the bill, saying: “If the city’s clubs lose this revenue, it will create a disparity that extends to the pitch.”
